Book Review: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

So I have a confession……

I write fanfiction.. cue gasps lol.

So when Fangirl in all its gorgeous minty green glory found its way into my cart and then my bookshelves and finally in my hands to read I was hooked from the first word!

Fangirl introduces us to Cath a introverted fanfiction writer who is off to college with her twin sister.
Except Rin doesn’t want her twin sister hanging around and chooses to room in another dorm away from Cath.

We follow Cath as she tries to balance being one of the top fanfiction writers for the Simon Snow universe and the teachers who say fanfiction writing is nothing more then plagiarism.
Something I do not agree with!
While we might be using the authors world the words we write and the added characters are completely our own!

The whole time I was reading FanGirl I could tell that Cath represents all the introverted readers and writers, anyone who loves a certain fandom will appreciate this book!

Cath, really visibly develops throughout the novel. From this painfully shy girl to a strong woman who stands up for her beliefs!
However, even though you can see her growth, she still remains a flawed character which makes this book even better!
Not to mention the other characters and their growth!
I Absolutely loved Levi! He was so cute and just witty and ahhh I just loved him!
He was literally all a girl could want in a boyfriend. He’s not perfect but that’s what makes him so awesome. and he was always there for Cath! The moments they spent together absolutely made my heart melt!

Rainbow Rowell is a very talented writer being able to bring to life characters that while they aren’t perfect you are able to relate to them very easily!

All in all I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
